Port Moresby, June 2025 — NGIP Agmark Group of Companies has confirmed its support for the East Sepik School Rugby League program with the formal presentation of the inaugural Agmark East Sepik School League Cup.
The presentation was made by Mr. Aaron Sam, Port Moresby Branch Manager for NGIP Agmark, to Competition Manager Mr. Bradley Simon during a brief handover ceremony in Port Moresby.
The cup will be awarded as part of a new school rugby league competition in East Sepik Province aimed at increasing participation among students. The initiative seeks to provide an organised sporting outlet for schools in the region and encourage engagement through rugby league.
Mr. Simon thanked Agmark for its backing of the school league, stating that the support contributes to building a more structured environment for youth sports in the province. He noted that the cup would serve as a focal point for the competition and help raise interest among participating schools.
Agmark’s contribution is part of its broader involvement in supporting rugby league across the country, particularly at the grassroots level.
Planning for the East Sepik School Rugby League season is currently underway, with further details to be confirmed by the organising committee.
