Papua New Guinean healthcare professional Andrea Masta has been awarded a 2025/2026 Chevening Scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Public Health and Health Promotion at Bangor University in North Wales.
Andrea currently serves as a Service Registrar in the Emergency Department at Port Moresby General Hospital. She says the scholarship will enable her to strengthen healthcare systems and improve community well-being in PNG.
“If you're dreaming of advancing your career through Chevening, start early, believe in your potential, and let your passion guide your application,” Andrea said, encouraging aspiring scholars.
The Chevening Scholarship Programme, funded by the UK Government, provides opportunities for emerging leaders from around the world to study in the United Kingdom and gain experience to contribute to their home countries. Applications for the 2026–2027 cohort are now open.
