Twenty Papua New Guinea government-sponsored STEM students studying at a university in China have spent their first-year vacation gaining practical experience at the Edevu Hydropower Project in Central Province.
The students, part of a cohort of 54 PNG scholars currently enrolled in China, had their airfares covered by the project. During their placement, they observed operations and learned from engineers at the site.
They are pictured with Allan Guo, managing director of PNG Hydro Development Company and the driving force behind the Edevu project.
