This week, Papua New Guinea proudly announced that two of its brightest minds have been awarded the prestigious Fulbright Program Foreign Student Graduate Scholarships, opening doors to advanced studies in the United States.
Apolonia Kajoka will take up an LLM in Constitutional Law and Civil Rights at Pennsylvania State University’s University Park Campus. Her studies aim to deepen expertise in legal frameworks and civil rights protections, knowledge that she hopes to apply to strengthen PNG’s justice system.
Meanwhile, Wellington Amos Melpa will pursue a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering, focusing on Design, Control, and Propulsion, at the University of Missouri – Columbia. His work promises to advance PNG’s engagement with engineering innovation and high-tech development.
